How do you remove the brake calipers on 1991 ford bronco?

Ultimatetly I am attempting to change the brake pads, and am having trouble figuring out how to get the calipers off?How do you remove the brake calipers on 1991 ford bronco?
There is a metal retainer that holds the caliper in, a hammer and punch and it will come out. It has been a while since I did one, but I think there is a bolt that retains the stripHow do you remove the brake calipers on 1991 ford bronco?
Get a Chilton's manual specific to your Bronco and year. They have step by step instructions and pictures.



It has saved me lots of agreevation when i could not afford to take it to a proffesional mechanic.

the bottom side of the caliper it has a slide lock kinda in the shape of a diamond knock it out either way to the truck frame or out to you then wiggle the caliper and pull it offHow do you remove the brake calipers on 1991 ford bronco?
ok first after you got the wheel off, look at the bottom of the cal, an you see a boat, be live be a 9/18, bolt. ok the bolt out, now look an you see at the bottom, a flat plate between the cal an the where it helt the bolt, with a hammber an punch, lightly tap it out, this will free the cal, now too you going to need a c clamp to squeese the cal back to lift it off
