If you opened the bleeder screw, you need to bleed all of your brake lines. which is a good thing anyway.. flushing the old brake fluid is good to do every 4 years. or so.

otherwise, your rear brake shoes might need adjustment. if the shoes are to loose then you're going to get a low pedal.I changed my brake pads on 98 civic?
Take your vehicle in to a shop and have the brake system flushed if your going to keep the car more than 2 years. Otherwise, take out a life insurance policy on yourself and increase your auto liability coverage to 3 million dollars.I changed my brake pads on 98 civic?
Bleed the brakes.
